Window Anatomy — What You're Getting
Every GreenFox window is built with components chosen specifically for performance, durability, and energy efficiency in Alberta's extreme climate.
5 7/8" Fusion-Welded Frame
100% pure virgin vinyl — 20% thicker than the recycled vinyl competitors use. Each corner is precision-mitered and fusion welded using heat and pressure, creating a permanent bond that never separates. Lead-free PVC designed to last a lifetime. Won't warp, crack, or yellow.
Triple-Pane Argon Glass
Three layers of glass with argon gas fill between each pane. 1 3/8" overall glass thickness available. Superior insulation for Calgary's −40°C winters — keeping your home warm without running the furnace overtime.
Dual Low-E Coatings
Invisible coatings that reflect heat back into your home in winter and block UV rays in summer. LoE 366 blocks 95% of damaging UV rays. Combined with LoE i89 on the room-side surface, you get triple-pane performance that keeps your home comfortable year-round.
Intercept® Stainless Steel Spacer
The U-shaped stainless steel spacer flexes naturally with temperature changes — reducing stress on seals and retaining argon gas longer. Known for crisp sight lines and exceptional durability. One of the strongest spacer choices available for our climate.
Drainage Flaps (Not Punch Holes)
Unlike competitors who punch holes in the frame for drainage, our windows use engineered flaps that only open when water needs to drain. When closed, they keep insects, dust, and cold air out. A small detail that makes a big difference in your comfort.
Multi-Point Locking Hardware
Heavy-duty hardware with multi-point locking for security and a tighter seal. Sash keepers keep everything aligned for smooth operation every time. Casement windows open to 90° for easy cleaning.
Glass Technology — Where the Energy Savings Happen
In winter, your windows bring in heat energy during the day while reducing heat loss at night. In summer, the same technology prevents hot air from entering. The result: lower energy bills year-round.
Low-E Coating Options
We offer a wide range of Low-E coatings from leading glass manufacturers. The right coating depends on which direction your windows face and your priorities — warmth, UV protection, or balanced performance.
Ideal for south-facing windows. Lets the sun help heat your home naturally in winter. High solar heat gain, great for cold climates. U-Value ~0.260.
The all-rounder. Blocks 84% of damaging UV rays while maintaining energy savings. Good balance of light, heat, and protection. U-Value ~0.250.
Blocks 95% of UV rays. Maximum protection for furniture, floors, and your energy bill. Our most advanced standard coating. U-Value ~0.242.
Applied to the room-side glass surface. Reflects escaping heat back into your home. Can be combined with other coatings to boost performance in dual or triple pane.
Maximizes visible light at ~64% transmittance while still reducing heat loss. Great for rooms where natural brightness is a priority. SHGC ~0.54.
Balanced solar control with good visible light. Reduces summer heat gain while keeping rooms bright. ~55% visible light transmittance. SHGC ~0.40.
Maximum solar heat rejection for west-facing windows that get intense afternoon sun. Lowest SHGC ~0.27. Keeps rooms cooler in summer.
High-performance solar control glass that blocks heat while maximizing light. Excellent for large window walls and south/west exposures. Neutral aesthetics.
Top-tier solar control with the highest visible light transmittance in its class. Virtually clear appearance while blocking significant solar heat gain.

Endur IG™ Spacer Bar System
The sealed unit is only as good as the spacer holding it together. Our Endur IG system uses four layers of protection to keep argon gas in and moisture out for the life of the window.

I didn't start behind a desk — I started on the ladder. I installed windows for 5 different companies before joining GreenFox as an installer. I know every step of this process because I've done it myself, thousands of times.
